MASSIMO CAVALLETTI NEL RUOLO DI MARCELLO NE LA BOHÈME AL TEATRO VERDI DI SALERNO

On December 23, 2019, Massimo Cavalletti will sing the role of Marcello in La bohème at the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi Salerno, in a production by Jean Daniel Lavalle and under the musical direction of Maestro Daniel Oren, the first of a series of three performances running through December 30, 2019. He will sing alongside Carmen Giannattasio as Mimì, Valentin Ditiuk as Rodolfo, Hasmik Torosyan as Musetta, Carlo Striuli as Colline and Biagio Pizzuti as Schaunard.

The role of Marcello has been accompanying Massimo Cavalletti since the beginning of his career, as he has performed it to constant wide acclaim in numerous top tier international opera companies and festivals, including the Teatro alla Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, the Teatro Regio Turin, the Rome Opera, the Salzburg Festival, the Edinburgh Festival, to name but a few. His appearances as Marcello in Salsburg, Turin and Valencia have also been released on DVD/Blu-Ray.

The Tuscan baritone made his Teatro Verdi Salerno debut as Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia in the 2018/19 season and returned in October and November of this year as Conte di Luna in Il trovatore.
After this Bohème, Massimo Cavalletti’s upcoming engagements include Conte di Luna in Il trovatore at the Teatro alla Scala Milan and at the Macerata Opera Festival, Marcello in La bohème at the Teatro Regio Turin, and his role debut as De Siriex in Fedora at the Teatro alla Scala.
